It was that time of year for the 2nd installment of Tony Hawk’s Vert Alert. Once again Salt Lake City would play host, and once again Collin Graham would be on deck. Tony’s ramp is a “Vert Soldiers” delight. It’s the Perfect vert ramp measuring in at 13′ 1/2″ tall with 11′ 1/2″ of tranny with an 8 foot channel. It’s the perfect vert ramp.

The Women killed it. The evolution of female vert skating is happening before our eyes. To see Arisa Trew from Australia throwdown a proper McTwist was rad. To all the
girls do proper frontside airs was awesome. Every girl grabbed tuck knee. A few years ago, this would be a different story. It all smiles among everyone on deck.
It was a fun day of vert skating. It’s a display of a long brotherhood amongst some of the most talented skaters on the planet. Skateboardng used to be a very unique
human behavior. Now we live in the post Olympic era. We all know Street and Park were featured in Tokyo, but let’s be honest. There was a few things missing. And that
is vert skateboarding. This weekend was a bonifide “VERT ALERT” to the highest degree. Let’s be clear, it’s about having fun, fun, fun.

Also announced on World Skate http://www.worldskate.org website is the first Vert Competition for the new season. This will take place in Buenos Aires, Argentina in Oct.
