2nd Annual Boneless One Jeff Phillips Tribute

It was that time of year again this past weekend. Peeps from all over came to pay tribute to Philpod. It was a weekend of FUN in the SUN!! Killer sessions, loud music and an unlimited supply of “Cold Ones”. Friday night festivities got started with the Curtis Black Artshow and some live bands. It was rad to see a piece of the “Clown Ramp”. Mike Crum found the tranny in a paint ball field. It was being used as a shield. It is now safely at the Overground Project property.

A piece of History

Saturday was a hot one!! Vert Soldiers PLG, Neal Hendrix, Nolan Munroe, Josh Stafford, Elliot Sloan, Chris Gentry, Collin Graham, Ben Johnson, Henry Gutierrez, Ken Fillion, put on a display!! The Dusk session was killer, with PLG locking down the heel-flip 540, Gentry throwing down his rodeo 540, Josh Stafford threw down my favorite frontside boneless of the day!! Henry Gutierrez brought Virginia Beach local, Collin Graham along for the ride!! The kid held his own. He’s now part of the Embassy. WELCOME COLLIN!!

It’s good to report Todd Prince was on his best behavior, Gentry did his best TP impersonation on Saturday @ Lee Harvey’s, It wouldn’t have been a Texas Throw down, without someone getting kicked out! I think I had to much to drink. Saturday night was a BLUR. All I know is the Texas Skate brotherhood is strong. I didn’t wake up Sunday till 5:00pm and it was in an empty field. I felt lucky to still have my wallet, luckily it’s attached to my belt. I missed the whole Sunday session. This will probably be my last write up for the Embassy blog ( I hope Gibson pays me!). Oh Well, I enjoyed the weekend. Much Respect and a HUGE Texas shout out to Overground Project, Conspiracy Skateboards & Buckit, Van’s, Entropy, Crum & Company, P.j. Thebeau and “The Shop”, All the other vendors and all the bands!! TEXAS IS THE REASON. Long Live Jeff Phillips, Legends Never Die!!
